As promised, here is the first of the long awaited beautiful autumn weddings from last year. Hannah and Barry’s wedding day began with strong winds and rain, but as the day progressed, moved onto mellow autumnal sunshine. Hannah’s amazing smile shone through all day long and coupled with the vibrant sunflower bouquets, you would never have guessed how extreme conditions initially were!

The wedding ceremony took place at St Eurgain and St Peter’s in Northop, a very impressive and picturesque church, and then a short journey onto Llyndir Hall for a relaxed drinks reception where the guests sipped Pimms on the lawns while listening to a jazz band playing in the conservatory.  I love photographing at Llyndir Hall, fabulous views as far as the eye can see in every direction and eclectic furnishings added here and there – just great!

I am a sucker for a beautiful winter sunset, so here’s one of many we have been treated to recently over the River Dee.

The day was a little grey and drizzly, but this didn’t dampen the spirits at all and the couple had such a wonderful time celebrating with their friends, family and their super cute little girl Olivia, who was also flower girl – a real star!   Sarah and Michael – such a beautiful couple, wishing you all the very best for your future together.

Many thanks to Margaret and Bill for choosing me to photograph their wonderful wedding and also for your fantastic feedback – so pleased to hear you are delighted with your images!  I have no doubt they will continue to have a blissfully happy life together.

It is also the first time I got to photograph (and ride on!) the fabulous Chester vintage tour bus which the couple arranged to transport everyone from St Mary’s-without-the-walls in Handbridge, Chester, such a beautiful church, to the amazing Oddfellows (first time I have photographed there too) – it was so much fun!!  Melody and Daniel were completely smitten with the venue and I felt the same when I met with them there a few weeks before their Blessing and loved all of the very unique and quirky furniture and decor.

It was lovely to photograph and be part of such a happy occasion and I wish Daniel and Melody much happiness for the future.

Hannah and Barry booked me as their wedding photographer at the end of 2010 so it was really great to meet with them again – they are such a warm and friendly couple and so well matched.  Hannah looked extremely glamorous for such an early hour even though she had to do a last minute outfit change from the pretty summer dress she had lined up for the photo shoot.   Thankfully the rain held off just long enough to complete the session and a great time was had by all!  Can’t wait to photograph their big day in September.

Despite the day being a little chilly (it was late March after all!) Tamara looked radiant and was such a happy bride – I don’t recall having to ask her or Alex to smile once, both bride and groom made my job very easy!!  It was wonderful to be chosen to photograph such a special day.

Lisa was photographed getting ready at her parents’ home and then onto the Doubletree where both the ceremony and reception took place.  The bride looked stunning in a beautiful vintage style dress and the couple’s attention to all details and beautiful finishing touches gave the wedding a very elegant feel.

The atmosphere Lisa and Dean and their lovely guests created was so warm and friendly even the damp March weather didn’t interfere with their celebrations.  It was a real pleasure to be part of their wedding day.
