Rebbecca & Garry’s Wedding, Holiday Inn, Northop

I was delighted when Rebbecca and Garry booked me as their wedding photographer after meeting me at their friends Jenny and Phil’s wedding I was covering a few years ago, also at the Holiday Inn in Northop.

The day began with Rebbecca and the girls, including her gorgeous little daughter Roxy, getting ready at the venue, then downstairs I captured Garry and his groomsmen meeting and greeting the guests arriving. After their beautiful ceremony everyone ventured outdoors, glass of bubbly in hand, to enjoy what we now know to be the last day of fine weather before the month of solid rain arrived!

Sarah & Richard’s Wedding at Northop Hall Country House Hotel

I could hardly wait for Sarah and Richard’s wedding day to come around. First and foremost Sarah and Richard were just such a lovely couple and together with their super cute son Evan (who also made a fantastic job of being their ring bearer) made an adorable little family. My dad and mentor Peter Davies briefly came out of wedding photography retirement for the occasion so I was second photographer on the day which was a real joy and privilege to work with him again. Also, the couple’s wedding venue holds a very special place in my heart as it is where my own wedding took place, so brought all the memories (and tears!) flooding back.

The whole day was full of beautiful moments and lots of fun and laughter, especially when the bride and groom ventured across the hotel lawns down to the tree swing for their couple shots. A great day was truly had by all.

Sarah and Richard, I wish you both all the very best for your new chapter together as husband and wife ♥

Chloe & John’s Wedding at Carden Park Hotel

I was so happy to be chosen to photograph Chloe and John’s wedding as I knew what a fantastic day they had planned at Carden Park Hotel. I LOVE weddings where there is huge attention to detail and I can capture those little things that make the day so personal to the couple and this is one of those weddings. Family and friends also played a part from the handmade wedding stationery to Chloe’s bouquet pinned with her Gran’s gorgeous vintage brooch and not forgetting the very cute little iced version of their beloved spaniel included on the cake topper!

Chloe and John make such a happy, gorgeous couple and they enjoyed every single moment of their day with their fantastic friends and lovely families, it was so much fun photographing their wedding and I have no doubt they have a blissfully happy future ahead of them ♥

Jessica & Andy’s Wedding, Doubletree by Hilton, Chester

Yet again I had the great pleasure of photographing at the Doubletree by Hilton in Chester and this time it was for Jessica and Andy’s wedding.

I knew from our discussion following the couple’s engagement shoot that the wedding was going to be a real family occasion filled with lots of character and lots of laughter and it certainly lived up to their expectations. Their guests were so warm and welcoming and just intent on having a great time which gave the day a relaxed feel. The icy weather ruled out venturing outdoors, but as the venue has so many fabulous spaces and features this wasn’t issue.

Jessica made such a beautiful, natural bride whose character really came through in the photographs and Andy was so sweet, they make a perfect match. I wish you both much happiness for your future together : )

Chloe & John’s engagement photo shoot, Chester

One of the many things I have learnt from being a wedding photographer is that the weather has no respect whatsoever for any special occasion. I have photographed in almost every type of weather imaginable (apart from tornado or blizzard, but who knows what’s to come!), but I think the coldest conditions to date were on Chloe and John’s engagement shoot day.

It was the last week of the freezing rain and sub zero temperatures we had in February, but this didn’t phase Chloe and John at all. Chloe had an enormous fit of giggles which was very contagious, and then even the park’s squirrels came out to join in the shoot! It was really lovely to get to know them more which is one of the great aspects of my pre-wedding photo shoots and is also good fun for the couple too. As we thawed out over coffee I was really excited to hear of the plans for their big day at Carden Park, especially the attention to tiny details. It was a joy to photograph Chloe and John and images from their wedding will be posted very soon.

Jessica & Andy’s engagement photo shoot in Chester

I met with Jessica and Andy for their pre-wedding photo shoot in Chester on an incredibly blustery, but beautifully sunny day. They were great fun to photograph and Andy warned me from the outset that it was very difficult to take an unflattering photograph of Jessica, and he was totally right. Jessica had an infectious laugh and looked amazing all the way through the shoot, and making it even more impressive was her hen night took place the night before – some people are just so lucky!

Can’t wait to blog about their beautiful wedding at the Doubletree by Hilton.

Alice & Ben’s Wedding at Inglewood Manor

I have a very beautiful winter wedding to share with you today which took place at Inglewood Manor in Ledsham, an amazing venue that ticks all the ‘perfect wedding’ boxes and that pretty much describes Alice and Ben’s day.

The day began with Alice and her lovely bridesmaids getting ready at the venue while Ben greeted all of their guests who had travelled from far and wide to join in the celebrations. To say it was a cold day would be a huge understatement, but following the ceremony everyone braved the outside elements to have photographs taken in the stunning surroundings.

Congratulations Alice and Ben, you make a wonderful couple and I wish you much happiness for the future.

Sheren & Simon’s Wedding at Rowton Hall Hotel

Sheren and Simon’s wedding took place on a beautiful cold and sunny November day at Rowton Hall Hotel. I hadn’t photographed at Rowton Hall for some time so it was fantastic to work there again on such a happy and relaxed wedding.

The wedding had a lovely informal feeling which was helped by Sheren’s wonderful nieces and nephews, providing much entertainment and laughter throughout the day. Sheren looked simply stunning in her vintage style dress and gorgeous Jimmy Choo’s and together she and Simon made such a blissfully happy couple.

Sheren and Simon, thank you again for choosing me to photograph your wedding and I was chuffed to pieces with your fantastic comments:

* Just wanted to say thank you so much for the DVD. The photographs are amazing. I don’t know how you did it, but you captured everyone’s personalities so well. I particularly love the group shots of my sisters and the children. They have made us all laugh. You also had the patience of a Saint trying to get us all in place! Another thing I should say is my Mum couldn’t believe you had so many photographs, she had no idea you had got around so much. That was just as Simon and I wanted, unobtrusive photographs which captured the day. Thanks again, they are great! *
