I simply could not wait for Georgia and Ed’s wedding day to arrive for many reasons, but to narrow things down: they were getting married at St Mary’s, Handbridge, one of my favourite churches. The reception was to take place in a stunning marquee set in picturesque gardens (LOVE marquee weddings). Georgia and Ed are such a chilled, gorgeous couple. Icing on the cake: this elegant, beautiful bride is also my niece!!
Georgia and Ed’s relatives and friends, many meeting for the first time, all hit it off and had brilliant fun together. I love family weddings and my family behaved (surprisingly) well while having their photographs taken, and huge credit to my second shooter on the day – my dad Peter came out of retirement for the occasion – still rock dad! Also, check out the cutest page boy EVER (who just so happens to be my little boy Izaac!)
I was thrilled when Georgia and Ed asked me to photograph their wedding as I knew what a fabulous occasion it promised to be (was privy to a lot of inside information!) and was an absolute joy to photograph. They were just so relaxed and effortlessly composed from the outset (even when Georgia stepped out of the car at the church only to realise her bouquet was still at home on the dining table!), right through the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, then partied hard with everyone into the wee small hours with the help of the outstanding band Get Funked.
Fab day, fab couple, who I know are going to have an incredibly happy life together ♥
